Description
TRIP is an original work from the Feelings collection by Dr. Aashi Verma — a visual mixed-media artist based in India exploring themes of emotion, identity, and healing through art.
TRIP was born during a period of personal turbulence, when the artist was advised by her therapist to find a safe outlet for what she was carrying internally. Art became her lifeboat. A three-panel work — two spiralling eyes and a smiling mouth — TRIP represents the journey every individual must undertake alone, holding pain, anger, shame, confusion, and vulnerability: everything that must be felt in order to be released. It was composed using seven colours, unintentionally aligning with the pride flag, and the artist chose to continue working with seven colours as a quiet gesture of solidarity. At the end of every journey there is clarity, victory, peace, and light — TRIP smiles.
